Akeredolu set to be named governor-elect for Ondo State, INEC officials suffers mishap.  


The INEC officials have released the election results for the governorship candidate race in Ondo State. 

According to reports coming in, the INEC officials have released the total election results of 17 LGAs out of 18 LGAs which from the look of things is going smoothly for the APC candidate Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN). 

The results showed that APC is leading by a wide margin with 227, 112 votes to PDP with 136, 666 votes while AD surprisingly has 100, 544 votes. 

From the look of things, it seems the APC are set to break a record of winning in a state they have never won before. Akeredolu, also known as Aketi seems o be the people’s choice as #ondohasdecided. 

In other news, the boat conveying some INEC officials taking the election materials to the collation center in Ese-odo local government capsized. The INEC returning officer according to premium times confirmed no lives were lost and that the INEC officials were traveling in three separate boats when one suddenly had a mishap.

He said that all election officials in the boat were thrown into the river and all were saved. 

The card reader and all election materials were lost in the mishap “but we thank God that no lives were lost.

The returning officer also confirmed that some election officials were held hostage by hoodlums, but they were later released.
