Ronaldinho and Riquelme to come out of retirement.

Brazilian legend, Ronaldinho and Juan Riquelme are considering coming out of retirement to play for Chapencoense in the wake of their tragic event.

According to daily mail, the Brazilian side have been devastated by the loss of 19 players, as well as a number of backroom staff, in a plane crash on Tuesday.

Despite the death of many of their players, the club may still be required to fulfill fixtures in the coming weeks, before they embark on the rebuilding of the club.

And two football legends may be of help to the team in their time of need.

Some reports have emerged that Ronaldinho, who won the world cup and can also list Barcelona and AC Milan among other clubs as his previous employers, as well as, former Argentina international and Villareal player, Juan Riquelme, have offered to play for the club for free.

Ronaldinho’s agent and brother, Roberto Assis, said no talk had taken place as Brazil still mourns the tragedy, but he confirmed that the two-time FIFA player of the year will do all he can to help the club.

“It is a very difficult time, Assis told Globo Esporte, ‘Later on,  if there is a contract, we can talk.

‘I can only say that we are here and we want to help.

He (Ronaldinho) fits the profile, can be the right guy. But the moment is to help families and it would be (wrong) to create expectation for now. As Brazilians, we feel involved. We are together.

This comes after the Chapencoense football team suffered a horrific plane crash on Tuesday.
