Charles Edward Anderson “Chuck Berry” dies at 90


The legendary guitarist, singer, songwriter and also one of the pioneers of Rock ‘n’ Roll music gave up the ghost after his health has deteriorated in the last few days. 

According to abcnews, St. CHARLES County, Missouri, police on Saturday disclosed that they responded to a medical emergency around 12:40pm. 

The first responders at the scene found an unconscious man and immediately provided lifesaving tactics but the man could not be saved. 

According to the police, he was declared dead at 1:26am.

The St. Charles County police ID’d the man as Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr. popularly known as Chuck Berry. 

A statement on his facebook page disclosed that he “spent his last few days surrounded by the love of his family and friends.”

“We are deeply saddened to announce that Chuck Berry – beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather – passed away at his home today at the age of 90. Though his health had deteriorated recently, he spent his last days at home surrounded by the love of his family and friends. The Berry family asks that you respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

Berry sr. was widely known for a lot of his works from roll over beethoven, sweet little sixteen, We we hours and so on.
The legend had disclosed on his 90th birthday in October that he was to drop a new album titled ‘chuck’ which will be his first new album in 38 years.
