The Italian government deported 40 Nigerians back and were on Tuesday brought through the cargo section of Muritala Muhammed airport, Lagos by a chartered aircraft.
The deported Nigerians were alleged to have commited immigration and criminal crimes.
Four days ago, the UK government also deported 23 Nigerians for same crimes.
The deportees consisted of both male and female adults.
According to an official, 39 of the deportees were accused of immigration crimes while 1 was accused of involving in drug related crimes.
The official added that the deportee with drug related crimes would be face further investigation while the other 39 were profiled by the Nigerian Immigration Service stationed at the airport.
Some officials at the airport blocked the deportees from any attempt to speak to the media.
This will be the sixth time Nigerians are being deported from different nations.
