A four-storey building has collapsed at No 3, Massey Street, Lagos Island, Lagos State with many people still trapped in the debris.

The building is reported to be owned by Kafo Family which was said to be managed by Isola Costa.

It collapsed around 3.00pm.

The Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe said five people had been rescued as at 3:39 pm on Tuesday, adding that rescue operation is ongoing.

A source disclosed that the building was originally three-storey building before another one storey was added to make four Storeys building.
